The gap has now been closed up with braces...the pic was at the end of 1 month expanding (may have been a week or two shy, as I think it did end up wider).

A couple more months with the expander in, then on to next surgery!

How many mms was your expansion?

The gap seems pretty small.

How long after your expansion did you have your braces fitted?

My expansion was 7mm total.  Photo was a couple of weeks shy of finishing.

Braces were fitted 1 week after expanding finished. I turned the appliance for a month and a half.

I will wear expander for 6 months in total.
