Title: Your opinion please
Post by: onemoretime on August 16, 2015, 03:00:46 AM
Hi

I had a jaw surgery in 2012. Bimax, high lefort 1. Both of my jaws were advanced 9mm. Anyway, I am not happy with the results. I am attaching this photo - it is not me, but the upper jaw and nose on the photo illustrate  my situation. My upper jaw sticks out and the nose, the bridge of the nose is flat (after the surgery). my  cheeks look flat. My upper jaw always protruded, but this was not addressed during the surgery. Both of my jaws were just moved forward even though there was no recession. My bite if fine, was fine before the first surgery also. Ill be seeing a couple of surgeons in the next few months. I am ready for revision. It has been three years. If the bite is fine and my lower jaw is normal also what options do I have to fix the upper jaw - the protrusion?

Thank you

I suggest you go with a revision expert this time. One of the big names like Arnett Gunson Woolford or Sachs

Are you sure your upper jaw is protruding and not just your upper teeth dentally protruding? 9mm does sound like a lot those, that must of had a dramatic impact.
