Hi I am due for double jaw surgery in a few months and am looking for recommendations for a good surgeon in Australia. My surgeon 👨⚕️ has retired who was going to complete the surgery and now have to decide where I will have the operation done. The new surgeon who has taken over his position only has a few years experience so I am a bit worried about using him to complete the operation.

To the best of my knowledge, the biggest names in australia are
Paul Coceancig of profilosurgical
and
Andrew Heggie of melbourne MOFS

Paul Coceancig
Again, a public service announcement, but he once joined the forum and kept telling everyone they needed bi-max, even if they didn't and/or were borderline cases. He was belligerent on email when I called him out for being irresponsible for diagnosing people online.
Not sure about the other guy.

theres also a few dual qualified plastic surgeons in Australia who do jaw surgery as well
One of them is Guy watts in Perth.
Bear in mind, these are not "recommendations" just names I have come across. Generally I would think you are better going to a specialist than a generalist if you have functional issues.
