Openbite. Extremely open.
« on: July 17, 2014, 04:59:57 AM »
First of all, sorry for my English, I'm from Spain and newbie in the forum as well as in ortoghnathic surgery matters.

Here is my jaw. I have already done a study about it and my surgeon have suggested to do a CCW rotation which apparently gives improvements not only from an aesthetic point of view but also for my airway which, according to him, is very narrow and it is possible to give me problems of sleep apnea (I don't sleep well and I use to snore).

He told me that CCW rotation was considered as an unstable option for many surgeons in Spain but is a common and improved technique (using different cuts from traditional ones) in US.

I would like to know your opinions, even if they are not so rigorous, about what would you do to solve my problems and if anyone have had a similar experience.

Thank you in advance!

Jesus, you look like one of Mommaerts's post-ops.

Edit: the bite I mean. I don't have a clue what you would need doing; I'd say BSSO for certain and as a minimum.
