I have a overbite of 9mm. When I was 15 my mom tried getting me braces but surgery was my only option. My parents didn't want me to go through with it. I am older now and I'm considering getting it. I'm not to sure how it would change my profile etc. Any advice. thanks

It is difficult to tell from your pictures, but your teeth and profile quite resemble my boyfriend's. He has functional occlusion but definitely has quite a large overbite, it doesn't bother him though. If it bothers you do investigate further! I am currently in the process of having my camouflage orthodontics (also for an overbite) reversed, and I am in my early 20's so you are far from alone in being a bit older than the traditional age for treatment. Better to get it sorted out earlier than later, no?
