Surgery in Belgium - Bad?
« on: September 15, 2016, 06:33:51 AM »
According to Belgian law – the individual surgeon is legally responsible for any personal injury claims.

So surgeons operating in belgium are basically immune from the law? Apparantly surgeons in belgium will offer corrections but never reimbursement or money if things go wrong, and you can't really get them legally.

Anybody here have experience with any kind of surgery in Belgium?

Should surgeons who operate in belgium be avoided?

Isnt this contradicting each other?  If  "they are legally responsible for any personal injury"   how can they be "immune to the law" ????????
The more I learn about the gamble that is jaw surgery the more afraid I become!!!   :-(

that is everywhere.  You very often can't get money back, when something goes wrong untill you sue a surgeon.  But it's hard to win a legal case.
The surgeons cover each other, especially in Europe
