How does recovery work when you travel for the surgery?

Has anyone travelled a significant distance to get their surgery? How long do you have to stay on location before returning home? Do you have to return for check-ups?

Unfortunately I don’t have specific information for you. I live in North Texas where Dr Wolford practices.
