Corticotomy

Hello !

Has anyone ever had corticotomy before their orthodontics treatment ? It's usually done in order to wear braces less time.

I read this is a common procedure in the US, but the litterature about this procedure is very rare, so I'm not sure.

Is it painful ? Does it worth it ?
