Dr Birbe?
« on: March 24, 2014, 04:38:54 PM »
As some of you maybe aware Dr Birbe the maxilofacial surgeon in Barcelona has commented on this site a few times and is available for questions.  I spoke to him earlier, he was very efficient in getting back to me and pleasant and seemed to know what he was talking about.

I cannot find any information about him on the internet only his website for the Clinica Birbe, I know he qualified in America, but no reviews, anyone heard anything or  any info?

Ha Ha,

Hello, Dr Birbe, I don't know if you have heard of Professor John Mews, he does the orthotropics he specialises in the tongue position, tongue space airway and jaw position, this is who Dr William Hangs bases everything on.  I thought he had retired a long time ago anyway I have managed to get a consultation with him on Thursday.  As our emails I mentioned I am doing myofunctional therapy, as my tongue muscles are weak, I am beginning to realise the problem is my top jaw not my lower because when I am doing the therapy lessons more and more my tongue is going on the palate my masseter muscles are getting stronger my speech and airway is improving and my lower jaw is going forward more in the ideal position and not set back.

I will wait to see what Mr John Mews will say on Thursday, fingers crossed this is not in my head
