They want happy patients
succesful surgery = happy patient. Mostly it depends on surgeons skill. Simple
If surgeon perform surgery beyond his skills, then he risks also his reputation and what is worse, patient health
All anxiety is just about having unsuccesful surgery. Nothing more.
So If surgeon is really good then anxious patient should not be awkward / bothersome for him IMO
