I was the same before my first one, but I realised once I woke up that it's not really painful...more of a discomfort and working around with eating and drinking. Swelling is probably the most uncomfortable bit and just feels like lots of pressure more than pain. Limitations to normal face movements is also a bizarre feeling, you get a bit sick of it but it's going to be awesome in the long run.
I'm not saying it's nothing, but for what they do, I was expecting a lot worse.
Takes me a while to recover from the anesetic more than anything and extreme tiredness. Rest and help from family is the key to recovery. Try to have no outside pressures or negativity around you. Take each day as it is, you can do it.
