If the choice for jaw surgery is between a Military Facility or an Experienced Civilian Jaw Surgeon that you can choose out of the insurances network directory, which path would you take?

1. The Military Facility would cover 100% of the cost, but it is a residence facility.
Your case is reviewed by a board of oral & maxillofacial surgeons who determine what treatment you get.

2. The Experienced Civilian Jaw Surgeon is someone you can choose out of the network, but you pay 50% to 65% of the cost.

Heck yeah, appreciate it sir.

I've never felt so low in my life. Today I was treated like sh*t by all of military medical. 
They told me I was causing a problem, and nearly kicked me out of the clinic.

All because I was trying to avoid going to the military facility and asked to be referred to a civilian doctor.
They only care about saving $$, and not about the ability and skiss of the surgeon.

All the pain, struggle, and embarrassment is worth it is it not?

I don't know about all that. I just know #2 out of those options.

Sorry about that, I was just kind of babbling on my frustration with insurance.
I'm in the Marines, serving in the states currently.
