Acupuncture

But has anyone gotten acupuncture on any body part?

Im curious if itd help my tmj and shoulder area

ive heard things about it and dry needling which is basically the same thing

I've had success with acupuncture for my jaw pain, primarily in my bum joint. I was in pretty bad shape right before treatment and walked out feeling pretty pain free. This lasted for 2-3 days. Immediately post needling though I felt a shooting/stabbing pain behind my ear (don't know if that was supposed to happen) followed by a sensation released pressure. Acupuncturist was going for inflammation reduction, or so he said. One thing, acupuncture make me especially sleepy. Too sleepy, really. Some folks like this. For me, it's too sedating.

i had it with a real experienced chinese acupuncturist. went to visit him twice a weak, he would put the needles in and actually attached these little electrodes to the needles which stimulated them --it didn't hurt or anything at all. would go twice a week for 20 minute sessions each time.
but this was just for an a small chronic pain issue, could have resolved on its own, i'm nor sure, i did it for like 3 months (maybe 20 sessions altogether)

I had it....  He said I would be pregnant in 3 months and sure enough I was.    Very relaxing,  overall feel good.

i didnt realize it was so relaxing!!

technically im trying to get this covered by insurance so it'd be "dry needling" in case i have some kind of effed up reaction.i wonder if theyd use the electrodes too, i want them.  i was even considering shockwave therapy 

biggest fear is itd only last a few days but i guess that's better than nothing.

is a video about ehlers danlos syndrome (it'd probably bore you guys)

but the phyiatrist guy swears by dry needling.  he says that when you have a loose joint all the tissues and muscles around it develop "contractures" and change chemically and stretching can make them worse.  even after you stabilize the joint, the muscles still think the joint is loose.  he's really into dry needling/acupuncture.

pretty sure i have mild elbow tendonitis.  i wonder if dry needling/acupuncture would make this better or worse?  sounds painful

Man how I wish I could afford regular accupuncture, massage, and physical therapy; that'd be awesome!

I know!  Its expensive.  I bought acupuncture needles off ebay but i dont know how to use them

Hopefully they dont have hiv 

I guess i could stick them in boiling water or something lol
