Looking good Ryan, great result while still looking like yourself.  I hope the same for myself.   Glad you're feeling better too.

My lower left angle was vertically lengthened with HA grafting to match my right side.

I would say that I didn't really do much for the first week or so. I was driving after two weeks.

Surgery lasted just over 6 hours.

Ryan .... Also if you don't mind answering... How did your surgical plan change and why from your original consult?

I have no idea.  It's wide enough to fit perfectly over my lower arch.

Pre-surgery braces can change things a bit.  Also, after the surgeon ran new measurements through VSP orthognathics, his 3D software, the precise movements were a little bit different than what was estimated 3 years prior.

Not sure.  I don't have precise measurements.

Where you able to get to see the projected changes from the front of your face on that software?   If so, how close are the projected outcomes to real life?

VSP doesn't incorporate soft tissue analysis, it's hard tissue only.

I had a 3 piece. I'm not sure if that picture above is considered a 3 or 4 piece.  I'm thinking it's a 3 piece, meaning that the upper jaw is segmented into 3 tooth bearing segments.  I could be wrong, and maybe that 4th piece in the middle is counted as well.

Maybe that's a question for the doctor to measure precisely, but when I rest my lips, I can see just a little bit of upper teeth.  It looks completely natural to me and I'd imagine it to be somewhere between 2 and 3 mm.
