Presentation on Arnett and counterclockwise rotation
« on: June 04, 2012, 06:08:30 PM »
Here's a presentation comparing counterclockwise rotation (used by Arnett and Gunson) with clockwise rotation (used by some UW surgeon) for correction of class 2 bites. I believe the first patient is UW surgeon's and the rest are Arnett's. The presentation seems to endorse Arnett's methods, and his results are quite impressive.

No offense to Dr. Seely, but this is a poor Powerpoint presentation. Just my take, of course.

I assume that UW refers to University of Washington, no?

Is counterclockwise rotation applicable in the correction of class II bites which don't involve a recessed chin or unusually high occlusal plane angle? Or is it used solely in correcting individuals with long-face syndrome characteristics?
