Wisdom teeth removal - necessary or not?
« on: May 07, 2013, 03:50:24 PM »
I would like to have 0 extractions if at all possible. Doesn't really make sense to me to have been born with teeth if they just need to be removed at a later date, and it doesn't really explain how our ancestors coped with having them. and the more teeth, the wider the arch.

What necessitates them and what can I do to avoid?

I agree.
Have you had any extractions inc. wisdom teeth?

I'd liken the procedure to circumcision unless some condition makes it medically necessary

you must extract wisdom teeth if included because they sit where the cuts whilst operating (bsso) are made.

so, unless you have enough space for them pre surgically, you must take them off.

I accepted this and settled for a 28 teeth occlusion final s**t smile

This is scary as s**t. I had never considered wisdom teeth removal a serious matter but the results of nicking a nerve can be severe and last a lifetime
