I have bad TMJ (had it for 10 years, got worse recently) and also tinnitus that became very severe recently as my jaw deteriorated. My life has fallen apart and I have had to quit both work and school to take care of this.
I am investigating (and have researched nearly every) treatment for tinnitus, so I don't need an education on what it is or what is available to treat it, but I'm wondering if there is a maxillofacial surgeon (or maybe an ENT) who specializes in somatic tinnitus induced by jaw/neck problems?
I have tried many other things and surgery may be my only recourse. I feel like I have a raw, exposed nerve in my jaw and it has made the ringing so much worse. Please, if anyone can help me, I would be most grateful!
