it's very promising that kawamoto put his name to this. but am i to understand the HA granules are suspended in pockets in the flesh or muscles and not placed directly on the bone? Is that how HA implants work? I always thought they were somehow attached and fused directly on the bone?

"Two surgeons in the USA have major experience with this product, Dr Steve Byrd in Dallas and Dr Henry Kawamoto in Los Angeles." - Mendelson

Does anyone know if Sinn does also jaw angle augmentation with Ha?

I think it goes on the bone. The quoted article references subperiosteal placement.

It backs up wha eppley said that ha is limited.

I think i see a small diff in fullness but the angles of the photo are diff so that throw it off. In terms of safety imo kwmoto woulld .ot use ha if he hought it would destroy bone

Has Kawamoto not retired? He is without any doubt one of the best surgeons ever. He did the most Lefort 3 after P. Tessier (A. Wolfe is on the third place). He is a true legend.

okay do you know if wolfe would do modified lefort 3? And yeah the above malar HA result is worthless --and also yeah I heard Byrd is the guy so if he taught Sinn boom that's awesome.

This is the same area of HA augmentation Gunson does on his bimax patients right? I definitely see a difference but the value in that change is totally negligable.  I'd think more volume in that upper cheek region would bring back some youthfulness but it didn't appear to do that, just looks different.
