Hi there, I've asked this before, but I never got a response. How many have you have had your plate and screws removed after sliding genioplasty? If so was there any relapse of the chin?

from my understanding, most doctors prefer to leave the plates and screws in. if a certain screw or plate is bothering you, it can be removed. titanium is very biocompatible so leaving it in is usually not an issue.
