I think there are studies, however, that are more useless than this one.

It's certainly interesting but probably more to us than it is to Mommaerts.
As I understand, he hast to publish a certain number of publications per year until he is 60 to keep his Professorship.... more useless studies to come!

i can recognize all those faces and in many of the "ugly" ones it's a famous actor who is actually like friggin GORGEOUS.

Matthew Bomer, Orlando Bloom etc. etc. got "ugly" or "too wide" ratings and they were amongst some of the most handsome fellows there. Goes to show you isolating one part of the face like that is f**king useless.

bale doesn't have a great jaw to be honest

He is good looking in spite of that, because of his fantastic cheekbones and what not.

I've seen someone do a photoshop of bale to improve his jawline and it did indeed make him even better looking
