Are my jaws recessed?

<< < (3/4) > >>

Sanj87:
So how could can my maxilla be recessed with a normal sna , im just trying to understand

Sanj87:
I wish i had kept my braces on instead i took them off way early so my back teeth had huge cm gaps and my front teeth met edge to edge also never had the extractions sorted because of this i think its messed up my face i never used to have bulging eyes or sleral show i had prominent cheekbones now there small. It is a combination of bone loss from extractions and not being able to bite on back teeth because of that my muscles was huge i looksed fat its so sad

Sanj87:
I uploaded a pic aswell just for a different view from my point of view i cant see recession i dont know..

CCW:
You have bimax recession and need CCW bimax to fix it and improve your airway.

I'm no expert at all but I'd definitely say that your lower jaw is at least slightly recessed. It's nothing more than average and I've seen tons and tons of women and men with far more recession going on. But it's definitely not a prominent jawline.

What surgery can do for you or not, I can't possibly say as I find it really hard to get solid advice from anyone in here as everyone seems to have very different opinions.

A lot of people in here suffer from mild to severe body dysmorphia and it's impossible to tell as this fact doesn't impact their writing.

I'd only trust a doctor for a final opinion, although I'd make sure to seek out a "max-fac" specialist as the ones who just do braces have no clue what to look for and just want to sell you some retainer or braces solution.
