Where do teeth go before jaw surgery?

I have crowding of my front teeth in my lower jaw and maybe a tiny bit of crowding in my upper jaw: Where or in what direction would the max fac surgeon normally move my teeth before surgery? Are they just moved backward or are there other ways to create space for the teeth?

I'm guessing that they're commonly moved backwards, towards the throat since moving the jaw forward will make it so that both jaws occlude properly even with the teeth moved back.

But it's just a guess, I don't know.

 The bite will be decompensated in orthodontic presurgery stage this usually entails uprighting the teeth.

 If you're skeletal Class iii be prepared for the underbite to get worse during the preparation stage.
