2mm Upper Jaw Impaction

I went to see a jaw surgeon the other day and he suggested a Lefort 1 (impaction) of about 2mm and a genioplasty of about 5mm.

I could do with genioplasty, but I'm wondering whether the 2mm impaction would be worth it? Would it make much difference to my face? He said my VME was mild. I have a gummy smile but the majority of it comes from my hypermobile upper lip.

A 2mm impaction is consistent with mild VME. That's all that can be determined from your question.
