Long face shortening?

Hi there I’m new to this forum and was hoping to get some advice on jaw reduction surgery as my face is fairly long and sloped and I’d like it more rounded and balanced. Would maxillary impactation help?

You occlusal plane is steep. Do you have a gummy smile? Impaction alone may not give enough rotation.

Abit of my gum shows through but I have a fairly long upper lip which contributes to the long look.

You look good, your jaws are in a normal position.

You don't have the typical long face of a mouth breather with underdeveloped jaws and an underbite.

Probably your family has that same 'long' face that you describe, and its just who you are. I would not even think about jaw surgery in your case.

I concur. People can look good even with underbites. Its not just the skeletal pattern, it's features and spacing too.
