4 weeks post op and I'm still having a lot of pain
« on: January 13, 2019, 07:58:55 AM »
I had a segmental lefort 1, bsso and genio 4 weeks ago.

I'm wondering if anyone has any advice for helping me reduce my pain. I'm taking Tylenol and naproxen around the clock and I'm still having a lot of pain. I don't have any of the dilaudid they gave me left. I saw my surgeon a few days ago and he brushed it off but I'm really suffering here. Opening my mouth to do my exercises is hell. I've been applying heat but it doesn't do much

At 4 weeks, after 2 bimax's spaced one week apart, all my pain was gone. My energy levels were still depleted; I'd be extremely tired after taking a long walk but there was absolutely no pain, My face was still very numb so I couldn't feel anything including pain.

Don't let your surgeon dismiss this and followup with them.
