Not knowing which photos to trust.
« on: June 10, 2012, 07:39:26 PM »
I look very different in the photographs that I take. One day my profile looks almost normal, the next it looks hideous. One day it looks like I have a severe overjet, the next photo looks normal, etc. Its not even just photos I take of myself. In my high school yearbook my face looks fairly wide. In my college yearbook, it looks very thin even though my height and weight were nearly the same.

And videos dont really give a clearer answer as the same thing happens. I think this is why I am so obsessed. I dont know what is real.

The thing is, my x-ray looks more normal than my pictures do to me.(the bad ones)

Thats probably my issue, Im taking close arm length photos.

The ones that look the best are ones with natural lighting and no flash. Anything close with flash makes me look like an alien. Then again my orthodontist photos are putrid, and you would think they know proper conditions to take photos.

Just got my new laptop that comes with a webcam. Things I noticed:

-When the webcam is level with my head I look MUCH better than I do in photographs.

-When the laptop is below me and webcam is angled up, I look just as weird/-weirder than I do in photographs(the bad ones).

I'm pretty sure nobody looks good at that angle.  That much nostril is not meant to be seen.

Booth passport photos are the worst. My face seems to be about half as wide in those photographs.
