6mm Genioplasty Morph (and questions for those who had genio)
« on: August 26, 2019, 08:16:33 AM »
I made a morph in PS. The forward advancement is 6mm and downward is 5mm. I am also getting a rhino so I pushed the nose in 2mm.

How does it look? Is there an ideal template I can follow?

Question for those who had genioplasty:

1. Did you notice a tightening effect around your lower face - right above jawline, but below cheekbones? That is my primacy concern.
2. Is the effect similar to jutting your jaw forward?
3. Any recommendations for doctors in Toronto?

I have tightening around the chin itself.
It can be maddening at times if/when I focus on it.

I think vertical genio can also pull the lower lip down a bit, showing more lower tooth. I'm not positive, but I've seen evidence of this. It's a question you should ask prospective doctors and/or seek out their patients who have had that done and ask them.
Millimeters are miles on the face.

As long as you know the displacements in your morph don't resolve to the most common type of 'sliding genio'; one where the forward advancement is outward and upward and that the genio you morphed along with the rhino won't fully mask the bimax recession.

Yes, I am hoping for an oblique osteotomy.

I don't have a recessed lower jaw, as far as I know. I have consulted a doctor and he didn't bring it up either. Just slight a lip alignment issue.
