Cheek/jaw implants after accident.
« on: October 26, 2020, 12:01:52 PM »
Hello All,

I was in an accident that cause me to break my cheekbone and jaw. This has taken a toll on my mental health and at times suicidal. Because of this i have been severely depressed and dealing with panic attacks out in public.

I am considering custom cheek/jaw implants but have a hard time finding the right surgeon. I have heard of Dr. Eppley and Yaremchuk but the horror stories have turned me away. If anyone has any recommendation for a surgeon or reasons why implants wouldn't be a  a good idea, i would greatly appreciate it.

Best.

Fracture repair is what maxillofacial surgeons do. Is your bite affected?
