I had a sliding genioplasty/teosetomy done and feel i am botched again

I had a surgeon named jefferey jumaily do a revision sliding genioplasty/teosetomy because i didn't like how the last one i had looked on me. Instead of fixing my previous issues hes  left my jaw uneven and now i have a dent on left side of chin and a depressed dot under my lips. Is any of this normal? Im four weeks post op

No i was told that since this would be my 5th ct scan in one year it may cause me cancer.

It looks concerning but it's possible that uneven swelling is contributing to at least some of the effect. It's hard to tell without additional pictures and x-rays. I would wait a couple of months longer for the swelling to go down and then try to assess what, if anything, has gone wrong.

The strangest part is that indention. When I said I have no idea what that could be, I was referring to that.

Similar to what I had, the chin bone wasn't line up straight when it was screwed back on(or the cut wasn't done right) and it could also be because one side of the wound didn't heal as well. Most likely the surgeon didn't do a good job here. Nice features, you deserved a good outcome. Should follow up with the surgeon for sure.

FWIW after my first surgery I fell asleep on my face in the recovery room immediately after surgery (they propped me too upright) and I think it pushed my chin off-center as well, causing a bit of an indent on the right side.  I would get an x-ray evaluation if I were you.

That would seem unlikely since the screws should secure the chin by that point.

Another thing I didn't mention is that it's possible that there was pre-existing asymmetry before the surgery and after the enhancement it became more apparent. My question is, do surgeons ever shave down the bone into a specific shape before they start cutting the bone?

don't worry, that dent can definitely be improved with some filler and fat to shape the chin or fill the depression. Asymmetries and healing factors often produce such issues. Even my genio needs a bit of filler to look more symmetrical etc.. What I'm saying is it is not "normal" but I wouldn't worry about it too much since it can be fixed.

Gunson suggested bone shaving for my chin in my revision but I declined because I’d rather achieve symmetry via genio revision or not at all. So in short, yes I believe they will sometimes shave bone for symmetry.

You would think, but I had 1) severe swelling on that side 2) lost the nerve in a canine on that side 3) parasthesia on that side and 4) asymmetry due to that side

..thankyou. do u have the dent right under your lip as well or the one on my chin is what ur referring to. I noticed that my lips were seen up back to my gums crooked which is wat i think caused it
