Hello everyone, I’m currently in braces for DJS. Hoping to have surgery in June. I had an MRI done for some old TMJ pain (including lock jaw) at the direction of my surgeon.
He emailed me today and said I needed a TMJ anchor on both of my joints, does anyone have any experience or knowledge on this? How long does it last? How safe is it? Other alternatives? Online knowledge was limited.
I’m starting to get more and more nervous about this whole surgery as things begin to get more complicated. Left side is stage 3/5 and right side is stage 2.
