Look at what I just found too, claiming to be a BSSO. Now this kind of thing would be exactly what I need. Osteotomy of the ramus, move it back and down to improve gonial angle and ramus length. Then BSSO to advance forward and ccw rotate mandible.

weakjawbrah, how would you plan to fit your teeth together if you lengthened the ramus?  Extrusion isn't really stable on adult patients


This pic, I don't think the dotted line means a osteotomy, but a visual separation of upper and lower planes.  Particularly as the after is showing only 1 break with a pin

According to the website it is an osteotomy.

And the teeth would fit together I suppose after the ramus is move back (thus decreasing height as angle changes). So I assume...
