Alright so I went to the dermatologist today and I'm really glad I went. She diagnosed me with

- Alopecia Areata - I have a very big bald spot on the lower back of my head and a small circular one on my sideburn
- Telogen Effluvium - Responsible for the diffuse thinning and massive hair fall I've been experience
- Folliculitis - It's what's making my scalp itch

I'm now on Rogaine, antibiotics, and hydrocortisone cream now. Also received a steroid injection into my bald spot. Ecstatic it's not male pattern baldness.

so if you have Telogen Effluvium, will the hair that fell out grow back? also will it thicken up again?

My hair has gotten so thin and brittle....

Yep it should eventually but it all depends on nutritional intake and stress levels.

I know this isn't a hair loss website but does any one have any general health tips for improving hair flow and inflammation?

I've been juicing everyday and finding it beneficial. Also, no need to wash your hair that often. I find my hair looks healthiest when it hasn't been washed for 3-4 days.
