Title: Would I survive aesthetically without a Bimax?
Post by: StudyHacks on September 11, 2019, 05:25:56 PM
This is the morph I've made  https://imgur.com/a/BrB9IbC

I'm not sure if I need bimax for maximum aesthetics? Like, could I achieve that result (in the morph) with a genioplasty or big/long chin implant only?

You won’t look like that even with a bimax

1) So what would I look like with bimax? Since I've been told over and over again that I need bimax to fix my recessed jaws (especially mandible)

2) What should I do to fix my very small/short mandible and slightly recessed maxilla, then? Coz I think these 2 things are what's really limiting me in terms of being good-looking

You’ll get an improvement, but your morph is over-optimistic in terms of the projection attainable and the smoothness/sharpness of your jaw angles.

Basically I was counting on getting 1cm of mandibular advancement and 6-7mm maxilla + 4mm sliding genioplasty

What do you think I should do / get, then?

what are you packing? I'm sorry if this is an inappropriate post. What are you trying to prove? is this to attract more of the opposite sex?

Yes exactly, to be as good looking as I need to be

Since you asked, my two cents: I think you are quite handsome already, definitely better than average looking. You are lucky with your face as it is. If you want to look even better, you can look into genioplasty etc. but if I were you, I would not do anything too risky or invasive since you do not need it.

your question is a bad one.  Yes you will survive.  There are clinically deformed people who live full and happy lives.

Dude, get a sliding genio or custom chin implant and call it a day. Your jaw is solid.
