Dr. Sailer is one of the most polarizing figures on this board. On one hand, he has been known to deliver drastic, life-changing results, and on another, many criticize the unnatural appearance of some of his patients.
Im wondering how many on this board have had surgery with him, how many are happy and how many are not? He has positive patient experiences as far as i can see, and cases which may look over done may have been so at the request of the patient.
Im also curious as to if he has any protege so-to-speak, a surgeon who will be taking over his practice when he soon retires (he is 75 now).
The reason I ask is, I am interested in lyphocartilage, or lypholized cartilage for facial augmentation. His practice seems to be one of the only in the world who performs it. It is the only kind of implant I would be willing to consider.
Thanks

Have spoken with happy patients of his.
Will elaborate in PM.
Talked with someone who had lypholized cartilage put in his brows and claimed he felt some had resorbed "due to drinking".

Lmao due to drinking? Sounds like a dummy. Although i do know cartilage can resorb, im not sure what the parameters are that cause it. Perhaps @Lestat would chime in?
-
i've got the inside scoop from people who have lived with him.
don't even think about it. and I won't elaborate more.
-
Yeah Lazlo.
Freaky Zeaky.

"Lived with him"? Does he have a harem?
-

he invites special (i.e. paying) clients to stay at his home as they recuperate.

I want cartilage too, I found a one in Australia who uses it for facial implants, Professor David David but he is Sailer prices.
I was told that Zoe Nicolai in Cryprus, whom Sailer taught, uses it but her office never reply to emails... she is also very cheap being in Cyprus.

I think he tells clients in general that "life style" impacts it. Idk if that has any merit.
-
Makes sense,
"In adult male rats, BAC’s reflective of those attained during alcoholic binge drinking may affect the skeleton in part by stimulating bone resorption, an effect mitigated by risedronate."

AFAIK David uses your own rib, not lyophilized cartilage. If you think David has "Sailer prices", then you don't know what Sailer prices mean.

I never said he uses lyophilized cartilage, Sailer has charged 20,000 for jaw implants to someone before so if I'm going off that then yes his implant prices are similar.
-
I shared the company in Europe that supplies lyophilized cartilage, what about just asking a surgeon to use it?
The worry would be if there are special preparation methods or handling methods that the surgeons won't have been taught.
-
He takes his patients round his house to f**k them?
-
150k for double jaw surgery? What the f**k, that's ridiculous.
Edit: Just saw some of his work, does he edit the before and after shots? They look really off for some reason.

This is kinda awesome to recover in the house of the doctor who did the surgery. Knowing me, I'd ask him so many questions and be so nervous I can guarantee even the most compassionate surgeon would get sick of me and move my bed out into the street after a day or two.

Zoe Nicolaou
:-*

He has a dr working with him, Dr. christine jacobsen. they seem to have been working together for a number of years. shes quite young so i imagine shed be taking on some of his work, adapting his techniques and integrating new ones as theyre developed and refined.
-
he should just recruit loads of doctors and new maxfac's and teach them in lefort 3's and make it a more common procedure

Ermm.... what?
That has pretty much no relevance to the thread whatsoever but ok.
Jackobsen was apparently going to do CT cartilage implants, how that would happen with cartilage, I have no idea.
-
I don't know why anyone would go with him really, especially considering all you read here / elsewhere.
There's tons of surgeons on the continent who seem much more reasonably priced and produce more 'normal' looking results.
-
everyone i know who had wok done by him has SERIOUS and I mean SERIOUS problems as in lifelong pain, disfiguration etc. he should be banned and this thread should be locked.

The cheeks look feminine to me but then again he does straighten his hair so maybe that guy is into that...
I doubt anyone will seriously go to him, you have to weigh up which is crazier the Professor or his prices.
Jacobsen is conservative and cheaper but I don't know HOW cheaper technically a Bentley is also cheaper than Sailer :P
-
Lol look at his ramus b&a.
This forum would be as boring as my life without bowies posts.
Steady tiger, they will think you are an alt account of mine.

I already know you're Lord of Cartilage and have known since you signed up (again).
-
Did he only use medpor to augment the jaw angle or how is such an impressive result possible?! I guess the patient is very happy with his new face.

The cheeks are kinda ridic but ya improved and looks quite dramatically different, He could begin a new life under a pseudonym. My dream.
-
I'm after contact with some well known swiss surgeons.... and I'm disappointed. They are overrated.
There is no sense to go so deep asking people about experiences with specific surgeons.
It make sense only to some point, then
you may end up very badly with a surgeon who has good opinion and vice versa
it's a lottery ....believe me.
and all surgeons have badly botched surgeries on account. Some more, some less

Moving on, I am surprised that this Yaremchuk result is never discussed, it is as dramatic as some Sailer ones but looks natural.

I have read on another forum that Sailer indeed uses medpor for the jaw angles..... so he is not different from other euro surgeons in this regard.

He looks great (the Yaremchuk patient), probably the best male implants result I have seen, the cheekbones specifically.
Your view on surgery is just completely warped now.
-
The Jsf Grinch.
Ya that dude got decent results.
-
any opinions about dr Zoe Nicolaou ?
I need fast response
who visited her ?

I believe cheek implants would lay on the zygomaticofacial foramen. Does that mean a serious risk of damage to the zygomatic nerve?

Why do you need information about Dr. Zoe Nicolaou? :o
-
She doesn't reply to emails, a famous surgery consultant told me that Zoe Nicolau uses cartilage for implants but I don't see anything regarding implants on her website.
-
she answers me without problem...but on another topic (zygomatic bones) so no info about her ? if she is good ?
no single patient treated by her here ?
no single friend of all of you ?

Did you ask her about cartilage? maybe she didn't answer me because of someone I mentioned.

The use of those types of "home made" pictures as public advertising "before/after" pictures is probably unethical for a US plastic surgeon.
They are used in with the conscious knowledge that they will be provide the prospective patient with a deceptive and misleading understanding of the surgical results.

Ya I can't tell what he actually looks like in the after, but everyone thinks its the best implant result ever. The guy can't smile wide anymore, for starters. He said he'd post more proper shots when he gets around to it, but that was years ago and yet he still visits RS to thank people for their compliments.

Well one max fac told me that "muscle likes to be next to bone".
Fwiw, no of the shelf malar implant looks like that or can be made to look like that with "hand carving". The best malar augmentation that I've seen.

It's unclear what you are referring to. This is a long thread with many sub topic spin offs. Best to use the QUOTE function for better clarity as what you are responding to.

RS is quite a time investment to read all on there. So, i have not read her case.

everything i have seen from him leads me to believe he is awful at judging aesthetics and constantly photoshops the pictures he releases
