Hi all,
In May 2015 I had double jaw surgery with setback and advancement of top jaw. The procedure went pretty smoothly and was (supposedly) done with one of the world's top surgeons.
I believe the advancement genioplasty done to correct my profile (which I paid an extra $2k) was overdone. I don't regret the decision to do through with it because my profile would have been week after setback, but I am really upset at how much the surgeon brought it forward. It feels unnatural, exceedingly "strong" and the lower 1/3rd of my face is just strange in my opinion.
My face is more prognathic now than it was with my underbite.

Please let me know what you all think. I have an appointment with the surgeon soon, where I will discuss my thoughts and concerns.
These thoughts have had an unpleasant psychological effect on me.

Looks good to me

I like it. You look like a demon, lol. I bet you you'd be ruing how your face lost its character otherwise.

Great result imo. It looks like your forehead is sort of going backwards which makes the chin more prominent. Maybe a different hairstyle would offset that, try combing it forward a bit to see how it looks.

Yeah I got an aerodynamic forehead just like OP. Imo it works here.

Agreed, it's too strong. Sorry to be blunt. Luckily, you're a guy and can pull off a stronger chin. But I think you'll need to get it set back around 50%.
I know how it feels, having had the same thing happen to me.

i think its good. If u set back ur chin a little it will be ur face less attractive and convex. I think so good profile.

Yes, that chin is a few mm over corrected imo. Makes your face look a bit to "sharp", when you follow the angle of the nose.
-
Yes the chin looks a tiny tiny over advanced but you can pull it off man, you're a dude. Imo I would not touch it. Makes you looks more masculine tbh

One thing to keep in mind, and I'm not saying folks that think it's too strong are wrong because it's certainly subjective, but I think often when analyzing a feature, people forget to take into account the bigger picture and get fixated on the subject at hand (esp. smiling side profile pictures accentuate the chin). Google "Clooney side profile." I look at his chin and could see where people would say it is too big, but I think it fits him just right when I look at his entire face.
Any less projected would do OP no favors.

I agree with above posters, I think you look great.
