I'm going to take out a 50K personal loan.

Jaw surgery in Germany is cheap, about €15k for bimax with braces. I have few living expenses and spend my money cautiously so i manage to save up in 6 months time. I was back at work two weeks after surgery.

Was that with zarrinbal if you don't mind me asking?
Thanks

My entire thing (other than genio and braces) was paid for by my private US insurance. It is a little harder to get approved, but if you actually need the surgery it shouldn't be a problem (usually)

Yo were class iii.

I did my braces on a payment plan for 2 years. For my jaw surgery, I saved money for a year and took some money out of my 401K.

Personally, I'd take whatever quote you've been given and triple it. That will cover the cost of your initial surgery, a more expensive revision surgery, follow ups, travel costs and endless 'second opinion' consultation costs.
It's boringly common for people to need multiple revisions after relatively minor procedures and jaw surgery isn't a payday loan type deal.
