Title: Would porcelain/plastic veneers disqualify me from jaw surgery?
Post by: crimsonpeas22 on November 16, 2020, 05:19:56 PM
I am due to have Surgery First bimax surgery in early 2022 (i.e. when I am likely to meet my savings goal).

In the meanwhile, I am thinking of getting veneers done to mask my lack of teeth show.

Would it disqualify me as a treatment?

Or another way of asking this  - would the top surgeons refuse to operate on me if I had veneers?

For any question like "Would it disqualify me as a treatment?" just email and ask your surgeon directly, it sounds like you picked one out already?

I would not touch perfectly healthy teeth for veneers if the problem you're trying to solve is: I'll have no tooth show for 18 months. Two years is not that long so don't make rash decisions that have nothing to do with function here.

Wise words! All noted.
