My lower lip sits a little to the left of my jaw which make it look asymmetrical. When I position my jaw a little to my right my lips meet perfectly and it looks a lot better.

I have the same problem because my nose is crooked and it pulls my upper lip to the left.

My upper lip is fine though, it's just my lower lip that's asymmetric. And what's worst is that my nose is deviated to the opposite side (right), which makes the asymmetry much more noticeable. My nose looks similar to this:

So no one knows if my lip asymmetry can be fixed? I should point out that my top and bottom teeth don't meet perfectly in the middle, but the lower teeth skews to the left slightly.

if your teeth are biting into your lip or you have general discomfort then id be very worried. outside of that you can consider looking at specialists.

I have the same problem because my nose is crooked and it pulls my upper lip to the left.
I have the same problem, in fact I think my whole face sort of deviates to one side. I have no idea if jaw misalignment is the cause or just some messed up growth at some point.

Looks like your right jaw is slightly longer and/or more rotated than the other.
If that's your only problem, though, good luck finding an oral surgeon who would want to fix it. It's minor enough that most surgeons wouldn't do it because it's a "long haul for a short slide."
I've got a slight cant, asymmetrical jaw, vertical maxillary excess, slight overjet, huge lip incompetence, and a slightly receding chin, and a number of surgeons have told me to just live with it because they're afraid of doing more harm than good.
Look, my attitude is with surgery, if it bothers you, get it fixed. But even I would say your asymmetry is so small and within the very normal range of human asymmetry that jaw surgery is not worth it.
If you posted a picture showing the cant of your teeth, I might have a different opinion. A small amount of cant is also fairly common. Just depends on how much cant there actually is.
P.S. Have you had your nose checked out? I had a cousin who broke his nose in a sports injury when he was young and never knew it. His nose looked straight on the outside and his jaw looked crooked. Later on found out that his nose was slanted slightly from the injury. After a minor rhinoplasty his face straightened out.

I also have vertical maxillary excess, lip incompetence (about 5mm of teeth show at rest), and a receding chin, which I believe is the consequence of the vertical maxillary excess pushing my chin in. I'll take a pic of my teeth later to show the cant.
Also about my nose, I remember two times getting hit, one with a basketball and another with a headbutt. I would like to get it straighten as well but I feel that by correcting my skewed lower jaw it will make a bigger overall improvement.

5mm is about all right (4mm is typical but 1m more..??) as long as your lips close without straining.
