Title: Getting braces as an adult
Post by: Armada on February 25, 2017, 03:53:29 PM
Getting braces when you're an adult is a bit strange sure, and if I was still at uni it wouldn't be an issue for me. But I'm going to start working my first job out of college soon, in a pretty fast paced and big corporate environment, and the thought of having braces on at the same time is not entirely enticing. What were some of your experiences in this regard, did people not care or did you feel it changed the behaviour of people you were working with?

Is it not as big a deal as I'm thinking it is? Aren't there 'invisible' braces now as well that aren't as obvious?

I did it and to be honest it wasn't pleasant because I didn't smile...BUT

Now after surgery it's soooo worth it. It'll fly by

Agree with jawjawbinks - smile, laugh, own it.

Everyone is selfishly concerned with their own lives as are you with yours.  Nobody cares if you have braces.
