Title: Ideal Face Measurements
Post by: sean89 on December 16, 2013, 11:30:12 AM
Obviously, aesthetics is to some degree subjective, but does anyone know what the ideal facial measurements should be? Such as how far the jaws should extend vertically or horizontally etc.

I found this document, http://www.tcbsc.net/pdfs/2011RobbinsDentoalveolarExtrusion.pdf (http://www.tcbsc.net/pdfs/2011RobbinsDentoalveolarExtrusion.pdf) which details average lip length, lower face size etc, which might help a few people out when interpreting photos, but anything of this kind would be useful.

Thanks.

I really think that people who has strong aesthetic sense as well as understanding of the facial morphology can play around with aesthetics intuitively rather than depending on measurements and numbers. Don't get me wrong math can be very helpful too, but sometimes depending on intuition can do just as well if not better since the rules aren't as rigid.
