Title: Proper head position for profile?
Post by: tdawg on July 31, 2012, 06:50:48 AM
What is the proper head position for a profile shot?

Obviously I know it is looking straight ahead, but I imagine its easy to subconsciously tilt your head. Are there any indicators(ear position?) to know if you have taken a proper profile shot?

Dr. Arnett addresses this in his book and at the consult.  It's called natural head position.  The exercise is, you stand in front of a mirror at a 200 cm distance and perform decreasing forward and backward head oscillations before allowing your head to settle into a self balance position.  You then look into the reflection of your own eyes and you have the natural head position.
