Title: implant + genio example (not recommended)

I'm posting this here for illustrative purposes.  This guy has a pretty severe mandibular deficiency and probably a maxillary deficiency, but he opted not to go for orthognathic treatment.  Instead he went for a genio + implant.  I think the aesthetic results are fine, but I wouldn't opt for this route mainly for health reasons.

I dont think it is a good aesthetic result.

Yes it is a major improvement, but still significantly and worse it looks unnatural. There are some cases imo where if you dont go the orthognathic route there is no point in doing anything at all.

I agree. In cases of extreme deficiencies, the entire mandible should be advanced to create more volume in three dimensions. Advancing only the chin doesn't do that. However, I do think jaw implants could have improved his results a lot.
