Title: Does maxillary advancem/maxillomandibular advancement widen the upper jaw?
Post by: backward lowerjaw on April 23, 2014, 10:55:38 AM
I am looking getting maxillomandibular advancement in approx 4-6 months once i have healed from my first jaw surgery, my upper jaw is narrow and would not be able to widen this without widening the lower jaw however there is not many surgeons i know who widen the lower jaw in europe so could be a risk could it go wrong.

With advancment of the upper and lower jaw only does this widen the upper or lower jaw at all with it being moved forward?
