2 weeks should be enough? Mine is a desk job.

Thats all im taking off, but its for school, so its a little different. Possible 3, but I dont think that will be possible.

My surgeon said 3.

I'll ask my surgeon when I see him tomorrow. Im sure he'll say three too, but if all im doing is sitting in class, I think I'll be fine. Hopefully the swelling will be down a little by then.

I was wondering this too. I was planning on two weeks off (bimax), but wouldn't want to go back to work if I still look like an assault victim. Is 2 weeks enough to not look hugely swollen?

Yea wondering the same thing. Looking at a few peoples blogs and there two week pic, their swelling seems a lot better. Everyones different though, but im sure it will go down a decent amount by then.

If you have a job where you need to essentially talk for 8 hours straight, I would be hugely concerned with going back at the 2 week mark.

plain and simple you're having jaw surgery to correct your bite but also more importantly to improve your breathing you could also say you have tmj problems explain what this is and it would get worse if you do not have surgery , that's all you need to say.
