Title: Does it look like I need surgery? Weak chin?
Post by: MagicFanLG2 on July 03, 2014, 10:51:37 AM
It might just be the fat in my neck area, but I feel like I have a terrible side profile due to a weak chin. This might be the wrong place to ask, but if you were me, would you get surgery to correct it?

Lose body fat before deciding to do anything.  It can make an amazing difference to your face.

Agreed

You lips look they line up OK.  In people who are really recessed, the bottom lip is visibly well behind the top lip
Do you have an overjet?  Have you had orthodontics?  If you don't have an overjet and your bite is OK then just get a genio.

Jaw surgery is not primarily a cosmetic procedure, and although there is a significant proportion of people who get it to look better, we tend to have pretty f**ked up bites as well.
