Title: From dud to stud: What did this guy have done?
Post by: GrendelGegongan on November 27, 2014, 11:21:19 AM
How did his lower third rotate forward like that? What procedure did he have done? This is one of the best results I've ever seen.

This guy's life must have changed expontentially.

I believe it's one of Posnick's patients. Not sure he's representative of all his cases though.

God you hard-case newbies are so annoying. This case has been discussed ad nauseum. All it is is an impaction, genioplasty, and bi-max. Okay? His acne cleared up, better haircut and lighting. THAT'S ALL. Yes he's a posnick case from his website. Oh and he grew up a bit too. Why don't any of you read the old threads on this site.

Are you kidding me he still looks ugly
Too much self-hate projecting.  His vertical profile beats my chimp one any day.  Anyway he is a perfect example of a good looking face hidden by a dentofacial deformity.  Remove the deformity and voila! Unfortunately most jaw surgery does not have such results, because attractive faces are rare whether masked by deformity or not.

I don't like his jawline and chin one bit. Still, it's a huge change and he looks good from the front.

Are you the guy who insisted on getting genioplasty 6 months ago when  everyone told you that your jaws are recessed?  What did you end up doing?

I had genioplasty and am happy with the results.

I've got a consultation with Dr Zarrinbal this month to discuss this type of treatment. Has any one got any views on Dr Zarrinbal performing this kind of procedure?

I would like a Ramus osteotomy to bring the Mandible back and Le Fort 1 impaction with rotation

I've seen a lot of chin wing results from him and they looked good. I believe you'll be in good hands with him since he's very keen on achieving a good aesthetical result for his patients.

I saw some zygomatic osteotomy results and they looked good, but the change was not mindblowing or anything. Those patients I saw didn't look that bad to begin with though. I'm still on the fence on whether or not zygomatic osteotomies can address midface deficiences properly.

I thought the osteotomy results of the surgery Mommaerts performed on that red haired lady looked awesome.

What lady?

What lady?

Probably got her confused with Sailer's red haired cadaver woman.

what do you mean bring the mandible back? Impaction and rotation of the maxilla will bring the mandible forward in a phenomenon called autorotation

So, how can you reduce the length of the mandible? and why will impaction move the mandible forward?
