Title: Camera/camera phones for taking good teeth pics?
Post by: Mark32 on January 23, 2015, 09:03:58 AM
I'm buying a new phone and I have taking some good pics of my teeth in mind. Although I'm quite self-conscious i want to post them on the forums in order to get advice. Will the camera on a regular smartphone be good enough for this or would I need something even more suped-up?

Replying to myself really isn't the done thing but I'm keen to know. To get good quality pics or your teeth/face do you need a 8mp plus point-and-shoot or will a smartphone cut it? ???

Get your photos taken by an ortho.

That's a good idea. The only thing is I'd hoped to post some pics here and get some feedback before a consultation. My thinking is that some of the well informed posters here might give me a few pointers about what to be on the alert for when seeing a surgeon.

But maybe I should just book myself an appointment with a local ortho to get a decent set of pics/xrays. Do orthos always take pics in a consultation - or do you have to specifically request them?
