I have a normal maxilla with a recessed mandible, but my mandible is so narrow that jutting it forward only makes my chin stop looking like s**t. My gonial angles become much more defined, which is an improvement, but they still look bad. I'm definitely getting custom jaw implants since I need a massive width increase. Should I get a BSSO + genioplasty and get the implants later, or just get a genioplasty and implants? My current assumption is that the final result would look better with a BSSO, but by such a small amount that I should have just skipped it.

I already know that I'm getting the implants, my jawline will never look good without them because of how narrow my mandible is. The BSSO would just be to maximize the results of the implants.

A BSSO will not widen my mandible, only advance it. Do you know what a BSSO is?

You likely need double jaw surgery and for functional/health reasons too. You may not realize it yet. The mandible can be widened surgically I think but it's rarely done for some reason.
