Title: Arnett vs Gunson (or other good revision docs)?
Post by: secondtimearound on October 02, 2015, 11:05:43 AM
I'm looking for a revision to my Lefort1/BSSO/genio I had 12 years ago. Particularly, I am not happy with the asymmetry I have as it was not corrected by my previous surgeon.

I understand Arnett and Gunson are known for doing a lot of revision work. Does anyone have any knowledge about the differences between these two surgeons?

I just called to book a consult. The secretary said Dr. Arnett is scaling back his practice a bit now as he is focusing on research and teaching. He is only doing 1 surgery a week. By contrast, Dr. Gunson is still doing 2-3 surgeries a week.

Any thoughts?

Dr Gunson is great, definitely give him a visit. Many others to consider, including Dr Wolford and Dr Posnick.
