Hi.
I had overlooked zygoma fracture. Moreover The bone compressed one of the nerve (problem with feeling). Hence, I underwent surgery
SOMETHING SIMILAR / CLOSE TO LF3 , BUT ON ONE SIDE
I consulted some doctors. Tried to choose between Italian and German ones.. The one Italian cheaper couldn't show me enough examples, the second one was too expensive I chose one German who has experience in secondary corrections. He even performs CAS and was not so expensive .. CAS (computer assisted surgery) which in my case I think was problematic - made worse
It's one week after surgery. I'm gonna talk about my eye issue which developed after surgery
Too early too talk about my symmetry -swelling, but i'm gonna put some xrays
OK Here how it was after fracture (healed) but before surgery - my right side:

He used CAS (computer assisted surgery) to calculate how the bone should be moved. But now I see he did not calculated obvious thing - orbital volume.
My bone after fracture went 4mm
Italian surgeons wanted to move it forward and just a bit rotate to not change orbital volume
In my case, to achieve ideal symmetry, he should have moved it 6mm - but i did not want to have ideal symmetry - never used to have . my left side is more dominated.
German one moved it 5mm - compromise
He told he has experience how to comepnsate orbital volume changes... to avoid eye sunken
He moved it additionally horizontally (i mean left - right) and I think, that was an error
the right eye before surgery:

and now I think i got sunken eye about 1-2 mm :/ probably just 1, or between
something is wrong
the upper eyelid is nor more swollen, only the lower area
it seems like upper eyelid has not enough tension, becasue the eye gone backward
I think it won't be better
here is my xray after surgery:

I don't much about this stuff but I would say give it more time
-
but the eye position is not gonna be changed - it's fixed by fixed zygoma bone
and the question is , do you also see little sunken eye ?
-
yes, but check how it was before surgery - perfectly on the same position both....
the problem is my right side is little less dominated , even 1-2mm of sunken eye make it worse
or in other words, never had sunken eye, now I have
the eye is gonna look clarly smaller then the other one :/
I had hope, the little swollen lower eyelid little pushes the eye back, but unfortunately the surgeon told me it's not pushing anymore - stopped
so nothing gonna change too much...or nothing when it comes to my eye / upper eyelid
-
I can see a very slight difference, but it could just be swelling as phantom suggested. It's hard to tell with such a small portion of your face visible, but I think even if there is a slight difference, it would probably be undetectable when looking at the whole face.

zygoma bone repositioning on one side , due to slight flattennes... - overlooked fracture
and i think the surgeon wanted to achievie symmetry too much and he was not focued on proper orbital volume
it's connected issue...
